  1. Go to Settings → Billing
  2. Review your current usage and plan limits
  3. Click Upgrade on the plan you want
  4. Complete payment via Stripe Checkout
  5. Your plan is activated immediately

You can manage payment methods, view invoices, and cancel from the Manage Billing button, which opens Stripe’s billing portal.

Enterprise plans use invoice-based billing with configurable payment terms (e.g., Net 30). These are set up by a Patrol administrator:

  1. The admin navigates to Admin Portal → Tenants → [Your Org]
  2. Selects the Enterprise plan and “Invoice” collection method
  3. Creates an invoice subscription with the agreed payment terms
  4. Stripe sends invoices on the billing cycle; payment is tracked automatically

When you reach a plan limit (e.g., maximum environments), you’ll see an upgrade prompt instead of the create button. Existing resources are never deleted — you just can’t create new ones until you upgrade or remove existing items.

Platform administrators with the superadmin role can access the Admin Portal from the sidebar. This allows:

  • View all tenants with plan, status, and usage statistics
  • Override plans — set any tenant to any plan tier
  • Override limits — set custom resource limits per tenant (e.g. raise maxIntegrations above the plan default)
  • Apply free periods — grant a paid plan for a limited time
  • Extend trials — set or extend trial end dates
  • Create invoice subscriptions — set up enterprise billing via Stripe
  • View tenant users — see all members of any organisation

The superadmin role is assigned directly in the database and cannot be set through the normal UI. Super admins are not exempt from plan limits when using the app within a tenant — limits apply based on the tenant’s plan and any overrides set in the Admin Portal.
